A Few Words About The Captain
| Capt. Don was born in Littleton CO where he
developed his admiration for the great outdoors
as an avid hunter and freshwater fisherman. He
held the Colorado State Rainbow Trout
Record. In 1987 he moved to Florida where
he joined the bass tournament circuit for a
number of years and won or placed in many
tournament in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. In
1990 Don realized that his true love and
expertise was in saltwater fishing in the Tampa
Bay area. In 1996 he became a U.S.C.G. Licensed
guide.
Through dedication and skill, Capt. Don has
risen to be one of the premier guides in the
Tampa Bay area. He specializes in light tackle,
flats and backwater fishing using both live and
artificial baits. He is an avid angler who has
devoted his time to researching all aspects of
flats fishing to ensure the ultimate fishing
experience for his customers. Capt. Don is also
actively involved in the preservation and
protection of the ecosystem in the Florida
waters and fisheries.
Capt. Don participated in the prestigious
South Florida Snook Invitational in 1999 and
won 1st Place. He has participated in various
other fishing tournaments where he took 3rd
Place in the SFFA Artificial Category and in a
subsequent SFFA Tournament Artificial Category,
took 1st Place.
